The fishing hamlet of Porto Palma, nowadays made up of about a hundred of houses arranged in a semicircle in front of the gulf, had a big development a century ago when the main fishermen’s work was tuna fishing and its processing. This is the reason why this village is called “Tunaria”. The old houses, used in the past for the tuna proccesing, have perfectly been restored to be used as tourist accomodations. Its harbour is very picturesque, built on the mouth of a little river, which can contain about ten boats. Near the houses there is a little, charming and gravelly beach like the rest of the coast from here to Funtanazza. The water is clear and it is the ideal place for people who want to sunbathe and have a bath in a totally relaxing and solitary atmosphere.
