Gutturu de Flumini

Gateway to the sea in Costa Verde, Arbus

Gutturu Flumini

Another place of particular interest in Costa Verde in Arbus is Gutturu de Flumini. The small town, set on a steep slope, offers an exceptional view of the sea. The luxuriant Mediterranean scrub extends towards the beach. On the right, the large limestone wall of Calata Bianca breaks on the beach, characterized by dark yellow sand due to the presence of iron and very transparent and rarely calm waters. Gutturu 'e flumini is a small marine center, of modest dimensions, well integrated on the coast due to the pleasantness of its buildings and their greenery, it overlooks a splendid golden beach with a breathtaking view, framed to the north by white limestone rock formations and to the south by a black rock of volcanic origin. The village is located on a slope that leads directly to the sea, with a difference in height of about thirty meters, almost all the houses present have a beautiful view of the sea, which is not far away. The coast is characterized by small sandy beaches and coves and large rocks (which can also be reached by swimming). The beach can be reached from above with a stairway, placed under the small village. The sea is very transparent while the sand is very dark and rich in iron in some places.
